Drama is beneficial because it helps with communication skills, reduces high school drop outs, and helps people learn about the arts. From learning to read to the in-depth study of Shakespearean literature, drama can play a significant role. The statistics from the studies below show that most of the public feels the performing arts play a significant role in our culture and communities and are important to America’s youth.
How it will work for this school:
If we had a drama club at HTOMS we would perform in the gym and we can also rent a stage.
Mr. Freddy is in charge of the costumes, makeup and prop designs. Ms. Deb will choose the scripts. Ms. Deb will audition the students.
Ms. Deb will also be directing and she will choose plays that are comedies and dramas that are family friendly. Proceeds will go to the building so teachers can have their own classrooms.
