Why Does Everyone Skip Over Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is just as important as any other holiday. I know that some might not celebrate it and that’s okay but I feel we always skip it and we go straight to Christmas or we get overly excited about Christmas planning and leave Thanksgiving out.

Thanksgiving is something that is very forgotten, but how come this is the case when it’s just like Christmas but without the gifts? It’s really odd, but I feel it’s because we all get so happy and excited that we are getting gifts and we don’t really consider that both of these holidays are about spending time with your family. Why are people in such a rush to skip over Thanksgiving? 

This year, I loved spending time with my family over Thanksgiving; sitting and eating all together and really enjoying each other's company. Christmas, it is not okay to just kick Thanksgiving aside and make people forget about it.
