Marc Marquez made his debut in Motogp in 2013. Immediately, he cemented himself as a legend in the sport. Suddenly, one crash would change his life forever.

Marc Marquez was already having problems with his bike so accidents were to be expected, but no one expected it to almost end his career. It was May 3, 2020, the day of the race. There were four laps to go and the commentators were already chatting about Marc’s bike, saying it looked “loose”. Right after, the camera panned to the Honda going down, taking Marquez down with it. Sparks went flying as Marquez and his bike tumbled across the track into the gravel. Marc jumped in the air as he went into the gravel. When he stopped he was on his knees, arm bent. He had suffered a horrible arm injury that took him out for the rest of the season, and it was said to take him out of the sport too.

After recovering, he came back with Ducati. People thought he wouldn’t win another championship, but he soon proved them wrong. It was September 28th of this year. It was the last race to determine the championship winner. Motogp was in Japan at the time and Marc was already way ahead of the competition by 166 points. It didn't matter if Marc won the race or not, he’d still win the championship and that was clear. Luckily, he ended up second and won the championship, now having the same amount of championship wins as his rival, Valentino Rossi.

On October 5th of this year (the race right after his win), Marco Bezzecchi hit the back of Marc Marquez causing him to slide into a big pile of gravel and flip backward. Marco was okay but Marc got collarbone damage. He was seen with a support and went to his hot. He decided to sit out the rest of the season to recover. It’s sad to see Marquez getting hurt after his emotional win, but we hope to see him back soon.
